“Be you followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.”
1 Corinthians 11:1
Paul is saying to the believers in Corinth, to follow his example as he follows the example of Christ… And this is for believers today as well.
We are NOT to follow those who are not following the example of Christ! And I mean the ‘Scriptural’ example of Jesus -- NOT what some folks are teaching about Him.
For instance, the idea that Jesus was soft-spoken and basically “mealy-mouthed” is TOTALLY not true. During the time of His earthly ministry, Jesus was very outspoken and when He saw injustice, hypocrisy and wrong-doing, He EXPOSED it!!!
In Matthew 6:1-2 Jesus is teaching His disciples (followers) saying…
“Take care not to do your good works before men, to be seen by them; or you will have no reward from your Father in heaven. ” (BBE)
"So when you give to the poor, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, so that they may be honored by men. Truly I say to you, they have their reward in full.”
Jesus came to be Light in a dark world… John 1:4-5
And ultimately, His example is the one we are to follow…

Jeremiah Wright!

The questions is continually raised, why is Jeremiah Wright speaking out now?
Perhaps because the “powers that be” have made Pastor Jeremiah Wright a pawn in this “game” of politics. Much of what he said is true. He is not running for public office nor is he a “politician.” He did not ask for any of what is happening to him. He just “happens” to be the Pastor of a Presidential Candidate and he has EVERY right to defend himself. He has been and is still being judged and condemned FALSELY for preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ — AS HE SEES IT!
The media, AGAIN, is asserting that Pastor Wright owes Senator Obama something, when he does not. Boldly proclaiming that he should be quiet until such a time that it will not affect Senator Obama’s campaign. Well quite frankly, it’s TOO LATE for that. Those responsible for openly attacking Jeremiah Wright FALSELY, will just have to deal with it. Because WHATEVER he says, it is HIS opinion. It has nothing to do with Barack Obama. Those who have “thrown the rock” and are now “hiding their hands” are merely reaping what they have sown.
However, in devising this “scheme” to discredit Senator Obama, by dragging Pastor Wright into this battle of “Right or (Wright) vs White” they have gotten more than they bargained for. It would appear as though there is a certain amount of “disbelief” and “shock” that Jeremiah Wright is not laying down, rolling over, or playing dead. I believe the saying is “you messed with the wrong one now!”
There is that same sense of “shock” and ”disbelief” with the media (specifically CNN) that Senator Obama is running for President of the United States of America … AND … ACTUALLY believes he can win!!!
The words are not being spoken by (or in) the media, but they are being spoken all across the world. Though not audibly — in the hearts of all the biggots and racists, who still exist today. Beginning with Hillary Rodham Clinton. That is exactly what she is saying when she claims, “she is MORE electable than Senator Obama.”
Apparently, there was no “dirt” to be found on Senator Obama. So the need to “conjure up” something spawned the “Jeremiah Wright Show.” And I know Senator Obama has too much class to even stoop to Hillary and McCain’s level, but it is high time we took a close LOOK at Hillary?
We don’t even need to look at Bill… been there done that… and enough already…
However, Hillary IS running for the President of the United States. And she really needs to address the stories that CONTINUE to circulate, about her many lesbian affairs AND her alleged affairs with Webb Hubbell and Vince Foster. The claim that the people don’t know enough about Obama — well what about Hillary?
Quite frankly, Hillary needs to be exposed for what she REALLY is. She needs to stop pretending to be this happily married heterosexual woman, when CLEARLY she is not. I would like to hear her address her support of a whole lot more than jobs, universal health care and a stronger economy–if you know what I mean…
Because all the attention being given to Jeremiah Wright, quite frankly, is a smoke screen for Hillary. Put that spotlight where it ought to be — on BOTH candidates (including Hillary). Pulling up those old Jeremiah Wright sermons? Instead, lets pull up some old Hillary Clinton stories… after all, she too is running for President. Makes sense to me. Use the same measure being used for Barack Obama, for Hillary too.
As usual, the media has overlooked the intelligience of the people again, and we are not fooled.

"A Scripture-A-Day Keeps Us..."
"With my soul have I desired you in the night; yes, with my spirit within me will I seek you early: for when your judgments are in the earth, the inhabitants of the world will learn righteousness."
Isaiah 26:9
We must speak the Truth according to the Scriptures. This passage speaks volumes about the love and mercy of God. First, like Isaiah, we too should seek the Lord early (sooner rather than later).
Why?
Because when God judges the earth (that's everyone)!
ALL WILL LEARN RIGHTEOUSNESS!
So, those who have not learned righteousness before this time, will have no choice at the time of His judgment. Because God corrects and disciplines ALL those He loves.
The major problem is this. God's judgment is going to be a terrible thing! Because the process that will make the unrighteous learn righteousness is going to be extremely painful!
The Scriptures say;
"...there will be weeping, and wailing, and grinding of teeth."
Matthew 13:42
However, the wonderful thing is, it will not be permanent...
It will NOT forever and ever...
The mercy of God IS forever and with that righteousness comes the forgiveness of God!!!
Remember, the Word says "love your enemies...."
Luke 6:27
Why?
Because He loves His enemies as well!!! And His love is different than ours.
Also remember...
"Whom the Lord loves He corrects (disciplines)."
Hebrews 12:6-8
